A special thank you goes out to the Ilion Free Public Library for sharing this beautiful composite photograph, of the Ilion High School Class of 1923. Mike Disotelle, Ilion Library, also provided close-up images of each of the classmates that appear in the composite. The first initial and last name written on each person's image was compared with the 1923 Class Roster and newspaper articles about the Class of 1923. That information was then used to create individual image files sorted by last name, first name. Seventy individual enlargements were provided by Mike. The following classmates appeared in the 1923 Class Roster from the Alumni book "History of the Union School", which was published in 1925. Five images are missing for these classmates.
Brennan, Francis The following classmates do not appear in the 1923 Class Roster from the Alumni book yet images were provided for them.
Beirne, Helen-Irene (Bierne in photo instead of Beirne) A 1933 phone directory shows Beirne, Irene so it is surmised that her last name was misspelled on the composite image. The following classmates had mismatched spellings of their last names in either the photo or the Class roster or in the newspaper articles
Donlon, A. Lymann - Last name spellings vary from Dolon, Dolan or Donlan. Changed the class roster to Dolon on July 9, 2021
