Gilmartin Wins Third Post

      John Gilmartin is faced with resigning one of his three presidencies in Ilion High School after being chosen yesterday afternoon as President of the Student Senate.

      Under school rules, no student may hold more than two offices. Gilmartin is president of the Senior Class and President of the Drama Club, the post which he is planning to resign.

      Gilmartin and his Brown Party won over the Gold Party nominees with advantages ringing from two to 47 votes. Gilmartin defeated Eldon Dibble, his opponent in the Senior Class race also, by a vote of 168 to 152.

      John Monohan, Junior Class president, lost by two votes, 161 to 159 to Roland Yardley for the Senate vice-presidency, while Robert Day had an 184-137 win over Mildred Paulus for the post of secretary. The school secretary, Mrs. Grimshaw, has the appointive office of treasurer.
