Cynthia A. "Cindy" (Polley) Maneen, IHS 1984 age 58, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, September 22, 2024, in the privacy and comfort of her home. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by the love and support of her devoted family by her side. Born on February 15, 1966, Cindy was the daughter of the late Earl and Theresa (Schilingo) Polley, whom she is now reunited with in Heaven. Cindy was a lifelong area resident, growing up and attending local schools. On December 28, 1998, she was blessed to wed Thomas Maneen and together they have shared over twenty-five years of marriage. Cindy was always a very kind and caring soul. She was a great listener and always lent a shoulder to cry on. She was a wonderful, loving and selfless wife and mother. She was a role model, not only to her own children, but to her children's friends as well. She touched many lives in a positive light. She loved spending time with her family and friends, just laughing and talking together. She was a true warrior throughout her illness and stayed positive; she never quit on taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, staying home through the years to take care of her children. Cindy truly enjoyed the simple things in life and was happiest when spending time outside, with a glass of wine by a fireside, talking to her family and friends. She frequented estate sales with her husband and sister, Linda. Cindy shared a special bond with Ryan Parks, her son, Nick's, girlfriend and they loved to laugh together. She also held a special place in her heart for her son, Tommy's, significant other, Jordan Carter. Cindy truly considered both Ryan and Jordan to be her children. Cindy's strength will live on through her children and grandchildren and she will forever hold a place in their hearts. We love you… Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Tom; her three children, Whitny Arana and her husband, Alexon, Thomas Maneen and Jordan Carter and Nicholas Maneen and Ryan Parks; and her grandchildren, Ellie and Aiden; all of whom were Cindy's reason for living and to keep going every day. She also leaves her sister and best friend, Linda (Polley) Zellwager and her daughter, Amber; her brother, Earl J. Polley and his wife, Jane, and their children, Jonathon and Brittnay; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Thomas Maneen; her brother-in-law, Patrick Maneen and his children, Christopher and Ava; her brother-in-law, Shawn Maneen and his wife, Carrie, and their children, Michael and Kayla; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, too numerous to mention. Family and friends are invited to attend Cindy's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Procession will then follow to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frankfort, where Cindy will be laid to rest in the Polley family lot. The Maneen and Polley families have entrusted the care of their beloved Cindy to the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000, Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate, Funeral Directors. Steven P. Williams, IHS 1984, age 58, of West St., Utica, NY, passed away unexpectedly in his home on March 13, 2024, of natural causes. He was born on September 13, 1965, in Ilion, NY the son to the late Robert L. and Bonnie G. (Davis) Williams Sr. He was a graduate of Ilion High School class of 1984. Steve began his first career in skilled trades with installing flooring of all types. He then moved onto work for his sister at MedEx Billing, Inc. as a billing specialist. He was often the entertainment for the office so not much work got done when he was having his witty moments. He then took employment with Wyoming Community Hospital in the Maintenance Department where he later became a supervisor. Because of his love of animals, he had also worked at the Humane Society often tackling the cage cleaning of some difficult animals. He was a kindhearted, loving, and witty person. He would always come up with something that was sure to make us all laugh or question where he got that knowledge from. He also carried that wit through to any social setting or job he took on. He loved sports especially football and spent a lot of time watching games with his father. When his dad fell ill, he became a great companion and caregiver to him until his passing. He would then continue to watch football, especially the Buffalo Bills games, where he would text the tenuous moments with his sister, Wendy. When dad was a bit younger, he and Steve spent a lot of time fishing, which was one of their favorite hobbies. While living in LeRoy, NY he attained his scuba diving certification and loved going scuba diving with his sister exploring the beautiful underwater world. Steve had a creative spirit when it came to art, music, and cooking. He was a natural at the guitar, he could pick it up and play a riff he had heard from almost any rock song. His favorite guitarist was Yngwie Malmsteen, who many have not heard of. He was a great cook, which he got from his mother, and loved creating specialty pizzas along with delicious dishes of almost anything. Steve's family and friends have so many happy and cherished memories. We especially loved getting together at Christmas time as a family, most recently at Kenny and Todd's home, who always put on an amazing spread of food. Renee and Bobby would bring mom's famous broccoli casserole, Mike, Steve, and Wendy would come planning to stay a day or two as we were always in a food coma afterward. We played many games and had so many laughs with his nieces and nephew. Steve always brought his witty self, and we will miss him and his wit dearly. Survivors include a sister Wendy Mancuso of LeRoy, NY, three brothers Michael L. Williams of Utica, Kenneth P. Williams and husband Todd Blodget of Little Falls, and Robert L. Williams Jr. and wife Renee of Mohawk. Also, a niece Lauren Williams and her fiance Jonathan Duncan of Spring Hill, Fl, a nephew Tristen Williams of Mohawk, a niece Brianna Williams of Mohawk. Steve also leaves behind his feline companions Willy Boo and Scooby Boo who he loved very much. He was predeceased by his mother Bonnie G. Williams (Davis) and his father Robert L. Williams Sr. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4-6 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St. Herkimer, NY. A short prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place at Armory Hill Cemetery, at a later date. Steve will live on in our hearts, memories and will be loved forever and never forgotten. Psalm 4.8—In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. (March 16, 2024)

Finding Your Way....

Finding Your Way - As shown on Amazon.com - At the heart of Dave Marley's book is a simple premise: Finding your way doesn't mean you always know where you're going. It's learning how to find your way back to what's important. FINDING YOUR WAY is a fascinating examination and eye-opening perspective on finding your path when you’re lost. Whatever your vocation or aspiration, Dave Marley’s unique insights into what it means to be successful will hit home. He reveals a delineation that puts success within your reach as his story encourages you to keep striving. Whether you desire to build a business, strengthen your children, or explore the world, you can achieve it by deciding what's important, finding a way, and avoiding excuses. The way we respond to life's experiences drives our actions, careers, relationships, happiness, and health – everything that matters in our lives. Self-doubt, shame, sadness, fear, or anger can too quickly steer us in the wrong direction. Here, Dave Marley shares his own unabridged search for Sanity, Sobriety, and Success. Finding Your Way is not about ignoring difficult emotions and thoughts; it's about facing them courageously and then moving past them to bring your best self forward. Notable though his present success may be, Dave Marley's legacy will not be about his wealth. It will be his passion to show people that mistakes have the power to turn you into something better than you were before.(May 12, 2022)
