Alumni Hall of Fame - Nominations are due September 1, 2016 for the Inaugural Induction

The Hall of Fame will recognize those who served the Ilion, Mohawk or Central Valley School districts, those who served community, and those who distinguished themselves in their careers. Nominees must exemplify the highest standards of ethical conduct and moral character. All candidates will be judged on their significant and/or longterm contributions. Nominations need only be made one time. Those not selected will be retained for future consideration. The Central Valley School District Hall of Fame Selection Committee will review the nominations and select those who they feel meet the criteria described in the Hall of Fame Constitution. Inductees will be invited back to Central Valley late fall/early winter for a formal induction ceremony.

Anyone may nominate an alumnus through an online form or on a paper form available as a download or from the district office. All nomination forms and supporting documents are due Sept. 1.

Nominees must meet the criteria in at least one of the following categories: Distinguished Alumni catergories are:

Athletic Achievement: Any former Central Valley/Ilion/Mohawk school district athlete who distinguished himself/herself in the field of athletics. This category may include a team. Nominees:
  • Must be graduates out of school for at least ten (10) years.
  • Must be, or have been a credit to family, country and the Mohawk Valley
  • May be living or deceased.

Professional Achievement: Any former Central Valley, Ilion, Mohawk school district student who distinguished himself/herself with excellence and acknowledged leadership in his/her chosen field. Nominees:
  • Must be graduates out of school for at least ten (10) years.
  • Must be, or have been a credit to family, country and the Mohawk Valley
  • May be living or deceased.

Humanitarian Achievement: Any former Central Valley/Ilion/Mohawk school district student who distinguished himself/herself with excellence and acknowledged leadership in service to the community. Nominees:
  • Must be graduates and out of school for at least ten (10) years.
  • Must be, or have been a credit to family, country and the Mohawk Valley
  • May be living or deceased.

Distinguished Educator Administrators, Coaches, Staff, Teachers: An administrator, coach, staff member or teacher within the Central Valley/Ilion/Mohawk school district who distinguished himself/herself by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character, and achievement during his/her tenure in Central Valley. Nominees:
  • Must have served in the district for a minimum of 10 years,
  • Must be inactive to be eligible for consideration,
  • Must be, or have been a credit to family, country and the Mohawk Valley,
  • May be either living or deceased.
