Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans for our liberty. This month features the Walter Davis family, of Ilion NY, and their contribution during World War II. It also recognizes the Ilion High School graduates who gave the supreme sacrifice during World War II.

This 200th year of the founding of Remington is a opportune time to highlight the other impact of the company on our nation's history. Visit the May - June 2016 cover story to learn about the Davis family and its patriarch, Mr. Walter Davis. Mr. Davis was placed in charge of the Remington Arms' military operations, in 1941, directing the re-equipment of the idle buildings.
