William B. Fischer - IHS 1966 - PharmacistWilliam Fischer was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Fischer of 38 Richfield St., Ilion. Bill Fischer graduated from Ilion High School in 1966. He graduated from the Albany College of Pharmacy in 1971, along with fellow IHS 1966 classmate, Betsy Morris. On July 17, 1971, Bill married Dianna 'Dee Dee' Wilkins IHS 1969. At the time they married, Bill was working as an intern pharmacist at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse. They later returned to Ilion and raised their daughters, Kathryn, Kelly and Kristen Fischer. Bill continued his pharmacy career at local hospitals. Bill worked for Fays in Ilion, with Frankfort gradate, Frank DiMaria. Frank married Dale Sheffield, also an Ilion graduate, and they raised their family in Ilion too. RetirementBill and Dee Dee recently sold their Barringer Road home and moved to Mooresville, NC. This year, Bill and Dee Dee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17, 2021.
