On the 5^th of July, the IHS class of 1959 held our 38^th reunion. A quarter of the class attended. Another half dozen sent their regrets with an update on their lives. Everyone had a good time reminiscing and catching up on friends lives. This is the first reunion since our 25^th, a FEW years back. See pictures below:

On a sad note, Mary (Grygiel) Sheldon passed away on October 6^th, 1997. Unfortunately we have lost a number of others classmates along the path of life: Betty Briest, Don Dekin, Bob Drumm, Leo Golicki, Tom Jackson, Ben Leach, Tom Lynch, Shevaun O'Toole, Tom Shepherd, Fred Smith, Letha Sweet, Ed Vernooy, Karen Williams, & Ned Young.

With a 2 year horizon we are starting preparations for THE 40^th reunion. (OH NO BACK TO THE CONVENTIONAL TIMES). A mailing will go out shortly trying to pick the best time to hold a weekend long reunion. I have volunteered to gather info for a directory to be ready before THE 40^TH. We have also sent the above pictures of the 38^th reunion to wet their appetite for attending the next one. If you would like to help with the events, let the startup committee know (Frank Geloso, Jane Smithson, Pam Davis, Peggy Casale, or Betty Bouck). I'm doing what I can from 250 miles from Ilion in NJ. If you have any class of '59 news, submit it to Aileen Sweeney at this website or to me.
