Cynthia Redmond Morris September 29, 2006 - September 29, 2006 Ilion High School Class of 1974

Cynthia J. "Cindy" Redmond Morris, age 50, of Lafayette, Indiana died at 12:35 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at her home. She had battled cancer for four months. Born Sept. 16, 1956, in Dover, Delaware, she was a 1974 graduate of Ilion High School. She received her associates degree in accounting from the Indiana Business College and attended Purdue University. She had resided in Lafayette most of her adult life. She served in the US Navy from 1974-1977 in Hawaii. She was married to Tom Morris on September 22, 1976 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Cindy was employed as a secretary in the organic chemistry department at Purdue University. At one time she was the owner and operator of the White Glove Cleaning Company. She was active in her community as a girl scout leader and enjoyed tennis, quilting, fishing, camping, and volunteer work. She is survived by her husband Tom, son Brian C. Morris of Lafayette; a daughter, Danielle B. Morris of Phoenix, Arizona; her parents Wayne and Pearl (Shaw) Redmond of Ilion, NY; a sister Cathy (Redmond) Matthrusse of Deerfield, NY; brother Wayne Redmond Jr. and his wife Linda (Murphy) Redmond of Baldwinsville, NY; brother Steven Redmond and Brooke (Bechard) Redmond of Lee Center, NY. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. with the service to follow, Spiritual Counselor John T. Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lafayette Urban Ministry, 525 N. Fourth St., Lafayette, IN 47901. (Oct 3, 2006)
