Samuel Patrei, age 45, Countryside Lake, Mundelein, Ill., died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at his home. He was born Jan. 13,1956, in Ilion, N.Y., son of Louis and Viola Patrei of Apalachin, N.Y. He graduated from Ilion High School in 1974, then received his degree from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1976. He worked for D.T. Industries in Springfield, Mo., then served as president of D.T. Midwest Automation Systems in Buffalo Grove, Ill., D.T. Sencorp in Hyannis, Mass., and D.T. Assembly Machines in Erie. He was a member of St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church in Indian Creek, Ill. He enjoyed golf, fishing and raising and showing English bulldogs. Survivors include his wife, Margie Patrei; four daughters, Whitney McGonigal of Erie, Heather McGonigal of Chicago and Jamie and Elizabeth McGonigal of Mundelein; two brothers, Arthur Patrei and his wife, Karen, of Liverpool, N.Y., and Louis J. Patrei and his wife, Suzanne, of Ilion; a sister-in-law; a granddaughter; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial today at 1 p.m. at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, Route 45, Indian Creek. Calling hours will follow. Arrangements are being handled by the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 777 Central Ave., Highland Park, IL 60035.
