If anyone loved Christmas, it was Randy! During every other time of the year, everything was in its place in Randy's home. Very rarely was anything moved or a new knickknack added to his decor. But at Christmastime, things were different. There were candies, bows and evergreens everywhere; dishes were filled with candies, his collection of plush teddy bears meticulously placed under his old-fashioned stockings...and then there was his Christmas tree: every ornament in place; every light positioned just so.

Trimming his Christmas tree was his annual present to himself; and when all the decorating was perfect, Randy did something else he enjoyed very much: he shared his Christmas spirit and decorations with all those who were close to him. And after the holidays had passed. Randy took an afternoon and carefully re-wrapped every ornament and every strand of lights and every teddy bear, one-at-a-time, for next year.

This year, add a new ornament on your tree or a new decoration in your home in celebration of how Randy loved the December holiday season. It can be our way to share our holiday with Randy, since he always shared his with us.

Randy never stopped sharing and caring for his family and friends. Even during his last days in the hospital, he insisted that everyone was always introduced. We will miss him greatly in the years to come and Christmas trees will never be the same.
