Class Characteristics and Incidents

High scholarship. Strong class spirit existed, promoted by school paper "Omnium Gatherum," by class rhetoricals and by prize contests. Great feeling between class of 1896 and lower classes. Disappearance of Arbor Day tree. Whisperer's corner was provided in the northeast corner of the High school, to which seniors were exiled, where in time they became models of quietness. Received a cup in honor of having the highest average of regents counts ever obtained in this school.
