Come help celebrate Ilion's first home football game, under the new lights, on Friday, September 7, 2001 at 7 pm. You can help celebrate the official naming of "Golden Bomber Drive". During half-time, all former Bomber players, who were coached by Mr. Pannes in any sport, are asked to participate, on the field, in a tribute to retired athletic director/coach Nick Pannes. Later in the evening, a post-game "Get Together" in honor of Pannes' long-time dedication to Ilion athletics will be held at the Ilion Elks Lodge, featuring Stevie Rigo.
The Ilion Football Boosters will also be holding a chicken barbecue before the game. Tickets for the barbecue must be ordered in advance, at $7 per meal. The barbecue will be available from 4:30 to 6:30 in the high school cafetaria or as take-out. Tickets may be purchased thru Fleet Bank, Bill Lennox or Tim Day. Out-of-towners can reserve meal tickets by emailing Brian Lytwynec - Class of 1977.
