Commencement Next Week. The members of the senior class are very busy this week with their examinations and preparations for graduation. There will be union services in the Methodist church next Sunday evening, when the pastor, Rev. M. G. Seymour, will preach before the graduates. Monday evening in Arcanum hall will occur the class day exercises. The president, Leon Ross, will give an address. The history will be retold by Florence Kamerer. The essayist is Frances Birdseye, who has written on "Patriotism and how to stimulate it." Mildred Young has prepared the class poem. Gilbert Warren, the orator of the class, will explain the meaning of the Swastika, the emblem of the class. The future greatness of the class is to be foretold by the prophetess, Mae Butler. The school will close with the graduating exercises Tuesday night in the opera house. Those who are to deliver the orations are the following: Leon Ross, "Duties of Citizenship"; Florence Kamerer, "Influence of the Italian Renaissance"; John Gordon, "Centralizing Tendencies"; Mae Butler, "Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and the Caesar of History"; Donald Twiss, "The Interoceanic Canal"; Gilbert Warren, "Moulding Events in American History"; Grace Avery, "The New South". Thompson's orchestra will furnish music. The graduating exercises Tuesday evening are public and free. A limited number of reserved seat tickets have been reserved for the use of the class. These seats will be held until eight o'clock. If not occupied at that time they will be thrown open to anyone present.
