Ilion Held Its Class Day Exercises

Graduation Class of the High School School presented a Pleasing Programme – Other News Items

Ilion, June 24 - The class day exercises of the graduation class of the High School were held at Arcanum Hall last evening. Blue and white bunting, the class colors, were draped about the hall, also the Swastika emblem hung in different places in the room. The programme which consisted of eleven numbers was as follows: Overture, "King Mydas" (Eilenberg) Thompson's orchestra; president's address, Leon Ross; intermezzo, "Cupid's Garden," (Eugene) orchestra; class history, Florence Kamerer; class recap, "Patriotism and How to Stimulate It," Frances Birdseye; violin solo, "Masurdo de Concert," (Musin) Earl B. Worden; class poem, Mildred A. Young; class oration, "Swastika," Gilbert Warren; piano solo, "Polonaise," Florence Kamerer; class prophecy, Mary E. Butler; march, "Emblem of Liberty," (Smith) Thompson's orchestra.

After the closing of the programme the different classes gave their class yells. The class officers are as follows:

President, Leon O. Ross;
Vice President, Gilbert W. Warren;
Secretary, Mary B. Butler;
Treasurer, Guy W. Gordon.
