Rousing Welcome Given Girl Orator at Ilion

Ilion, May 13. - When Miss Flora Longenecker reached her home here Tuesday upon her return from Washington, where she won fourth prize in the national oratorical contest, she found assembled to greet her there, Earl Watkins, superintendent of schools; J. G. Prindle, principal; Prof. A. E. Sisson, and other members of the faculty and the entire student body of the Iliion high school, of which she is a member of the senior class. Congratulations, class and school yells continued a quarter of an hour.

Tonight all Ilion will turn out for a home-coming reception for Miss Longenecker at the high school, and as the closing number of the program she will give the oration which won for her first place among girl students of the country.
