Ilion Accident Victim Dies in Utica Hospital Ilion - Kenneth J. Lowe, 39, of 6 John St, who was gravely injured Dec. 5 in a head-on automobile collision in Utica, died early today, Dec. 24, 1946, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica, where he had since been a patient. According to police reports, the car operated by Mr. Lowe, who was driving alone on E. Broad St. was in collision with a car driven David R Humphrey, 24, Utica, in which three others, all students at Mohawk College, were riding. The students' car was owned by Clifford Lubey, also 24, of Utica, who was a passenger. All sustained more or less serious injuries. Mr. Lowe was born Dec. 4, 1907, in Worcester, Mass., a son of Aubrey and Jessie Cameron Lowe. His father is former works manager of the Remington Arms. Co. here. He was graduated from Ilion High School and attended Cornell University. On Oct. 24, 1927, he married Jane Ashley, whom he leaves, with four sons, Kenneth, Alan, Rodney and Jeffrey; his parents, and a sister, Mrs. Gordon Wainman, Richfield Springs. Mr. Lowe was a member of the Methodist Church, and at the time of his death was assistent superintendent of the gun design department of the Arms plant here. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Whiter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leonard Peale, Methodist pastor, officiating and burial in Armory Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening.
