Last Rites for Accident Victims Largely Attended A crowd of more than 400 former schoolmates and friends, that included the entire student body, filled the Presbyterian Church beyond capacity, paid final tribute to David N. R. Cramer, 18, of 45 Catherine Street, who lost his life to an automobile accident early Monday morning on Route 5, one mile west of Little Falls that also took the life of his friend, Ernest Martin Schwartz, 18, of 95 East Clark Street. Funeral services were conducted 2 p. m. Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor. The bearers were six former teammates of the Ilion High School football team, on which he starred last fall. They were, Captain Bernard Murray, Ray Bullis, Frank Marsden, Paul Momberger, Robert Davis and Theoron Cook. The rest of the football squad acted as honorary bearers. Among the student organizations present as units, were the cast of the "Pirates of Penzance," in which he was cast for a leading role, and the school choir, of which he was also a member. David Cramer was born in Utica, a son of Nicholas and Carlotta Rockefeller Cramer, and has resided in Ilion since 1936. Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Raymond Cramer, at home and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rockefeller, Mohawk, and Nicholas Cramer, Sr., Buffalo.
