Ilion Students Hold Final Assembly Program Two trophies were presented to Ilion High School pupils at their final assembly program held last Friday afternoon in the school. J. Guy Prindle, principal, conducted the program and presented the Rocky Cramer Memorial trophy to Herman Schaepe as the outstanding boy athlete in maintaining training rules, earning varsity letters, and participating in at least two intramural sports while a senior. The trophy is also awarded for being a general all-around good fellow and leader in athletics. The presentation of the Varsity trophy was made by Ernest Sitts, president of the Varsity Club. It went to Thomas Mills. Sitts explained the trophy was awarded "not to the best athlete, but to the 'plugger' type sportsman who did his duty every minute." Dr. Earl P. Watkin, superintendent of schools, spoke to the seniors telling of their opportunities and duties in life ahead of them. Following the program, pupils purchased the 1947 copy of the "Mirror."
