Ilion Catcher Enters Organized Baseball Don Lang Leaves for Sheboygan Monday Don Lang, Ilion catcher, will leave Monday for Sheboygan, Wisconsin to play with the Sheboygan Dodgers in the Class 'D' Wisconsin State League. Lang, after tryouts with several major league clubs has selected the Dodger offer and will be in uniform Wednesday night for Sheboygan. While in high school, Lang was captain of all three major sport teams - basketball, baseball and football and broke up the Herkimer baseball game in his Senior year with two long home runs. Lang played with the Botling Field teams while in the service. Don is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lang of prospec Street, Ilion and is the second member of the family to sign into organized ball. His brother, Martin, now in the Army, is the property of the Saint Louis Cardinals.
