Ilion HS Senior Yearbook To Be Distributed Tomorrow

Ilion - The 1950 edition of Ilion High School's senior yearbook, "The Mirror," has been received from the printers and will be distributed during the final class period tomorrow afternoon, Joseph A. Baker, faculty adviser to the yearbook staff, announced today.

This year's Mirror is dedicated to Miss Nelle Schmidt, member of the high school English department and Senior class adviser, and John G. Prindle, principal. Its cover is of gilt leather with lettering in brown.

Besides photographs and background material on the 89 members of the senior class, the book contains records of every student activity, most accompanied by photographs. Features included for the first time this year are candid photographs of students and baby pictures of 52 of the 89 seniors. Also the staff has succeeded in getting informal rather than posed photographs of many of the student activity groups.

Heading the yearbook staff were: Editor-in-chief, Sylvia Reed; advertising manager, Herbert Stark; circulation manager, Ann Daz; senior editors, Margaret Wagner, JoAnn Wilson and Frances Sanders; picture editors, Mary Alice Mosher, Jane Russell, Alan Momberger and Robert Getman.

Others who helped gather material and prepare it for publication were Doris Wheeler, Mary Jane Damon, Carol Hathaway, Jean Nelson, Marian Fay, Betty Gorton, Mary Ann Vayo, Mary Helen Lozo, Gloria Primmar, Robert Moolick, Barbara Brown, James Berlew, Marian Dashner, Leigh McDonald, Lawrence Parker, Terry Crandall, Katherine Colliton, Dorothy Riesel, William Best, Thomas Davis, Joseph Edwards, Mary Fay, Phyllis Palmer, James Schaepe, Maxine Smith, Carole Stilwell, Jay Tuttle and Charles Welsh.
