Students Receive Trophies At Ilion High Assembly ILION - High School assembly yesterday afternoon was marked by the awarding of trophies by Principal Joseph Baker and Mrs. Jane McKennan Bellinger, girls' athletic director. The Frank Lyons memorial friendship cup, presented by the class of 1951, was awarded Ronald Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arvon Jones. Top Girl Athlete The plaque for the oustanding girl athlete went to Joyce Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Williams. It is presented by the Girl's Athletic Council. Exceptional ability in sports and leadership is rewarded by the Rocky Cramer Trophy and went to Robert Meade, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Meade. The Varsity Club's unsung hero trophy was awarded Thomas Pavliga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pavliga. Membership into the Senior National Honor Society went to the following juniors, Svlvia Leistvna. Ruth McKelvie, Michael Letts, Sally Harter and Robert Loomis. Junior Honor Group Recently elected to the Junior National Honor Society were James Barnes, Janet Carr, Sandra Curtis, Gwen Elmer, Clayton Fuller, Elizabeth Hitchcock, Janice Humphrey, Barbara Kennell, Janet Kirkland, Donald Loopman, Suzanne Mack, Nancy Rothwell, Beniamin Russell, Jr., Janice Staley, Nancy Tooney. The second place athletic meda1 from the Girls Athletic Council was presented Mary Hardy. Students were addressed by Principal Baker and Dr. Earl P Watkin, superintendent of schools
