Award Dinner Slated June 4 At Ilion High The Fourth annual Block I dinner will be held in the Ilion Cafeteria on Thursday night, June 4 starting at 6:30 it was announced here yesterday. Sponsored this year by the PTA the dinner will feature guest speaker Eddie Tryon, Head Football coach at Hobart College and former football great at Colgate University. 75 Ilion athletes plus the cheerleading squads will be presented hard won letters at this affair with Seniors getting 'oscars' won by varsity competition in football, baseball, basketball and track. Tickets for the affair went on sale this afternoon at McGrath's News Store on Otsego Street, Van's Food Shoppe on Central Ave, Klippel's Market on Second Street and at The Sentinel Office. The ticket sale will only last until Tuesday night, but it is sincerely hoped that as many as possible will attend the event. A dinner like this costs a great deal to present and public support is urgently desired.
