ILION - The concert band and the cadet band will present a concert in the Ilion High School Auditorium on Monday. Feb. 19. Steven Price, Paul McCabe, Henry Bonn and William Davis makeup a special trumpet quartet which will perform at the concert.

An assembly will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, at which the speaker, Mr. Gren, will tell how he made his way from poverty in Sweden to prosperity in the United States. Subject of his speech will be "Destination America!"

The varsity basketball team lost to Norwich by a 43-42 score. The bombers put up a good fight but were unable to beat Norwich. The jayvee team, however, was able to down Norwich by a 50-44 score.

The wrestling team beat Oneonta last Thursday by a 32-12 score. The seniors, who wrestled their last held the following scores: Dexter Smith, 8-2; Victor Tjeersdma, 10-0; Richard Adams, 8-0-1; William Burch, James DeJohgn. The Ilion wrestling team is now tied for first place with Norwich and Frankfort.

Today the Ilion Central grapplers will compete at Herkimer High School in the Iroquois League wrestling tournament.

Ilion High is in fourth place for the Iroquois League All Sports Trophy as of Feb. 10, having compiled 540 points thus far. This trophy is given to the league school which compiles the highest total points during the school year. Volley ball, ping pong and badminton are a big factor in how Ilion places in the trophy race.

The following seniors have been accepted into college: Pamela Sherman, University of Arizona; Dexter Smith, Michigan Tech; Regina Stefanishyn, Oswego State; and Thomas Tresohlavy, Brockport State.
