ILION - The varsity basketball team downed Oneonta last week 66-64. The Jayvee team, however, was not able to defeat Oneonta. The game ended with the Jayvees Bombers beaten 45-44. The following seniors have been accepted into college: Thomas Tresolavy, Brockport State; Linda Vernooy, Oswego State; Raymond Wardle, Clarkson; Sharon Waltz, New Paltz; Dana Nelson, Harpur College.

The volleyball teams have been chosen: Team 1: Nancy Burdick, Janet Cormla, Judy Cormia, Diane Dawson, Sarah Lahey, Marilyn NBe, Mary Alyce Seymour, Elaine Vollo, Jill Urtz; Team 2, Carol Adams. Sharon Bennett, Caren Cafarelli, Marie Cirillo, Leslie DeReus, Diane Dulak, Cheryl Jones, Shirley Richards, Sandra Shaw.

Last Thursday an assembly was held to name the top ten in the Class of 1962 and the scholarship winners. The top ten are: valedictorian, Roger Furtuna 96.558 average; salutatorian, Harold Shelly 94.583: Dana Nelson 93.9; Patricia Cowen, 93.6, Sharon Walsh 91.7; Margaret Keddell 89.8; Terrance McGrath 89.7; Linda Vernooy 88.9; Elaine Volo 88.8; Patricia Sehneck 88 2.

The tryouts for the senior class play, "Good Night, Ladies," were held Thursday. Next week I will give you results of the tryouts.

The bowling team has won all its matches so far and has contributed 30 points toward the All Sports Trophy. Ilion is now leading for the trophy with 545 points.
