Ilion High Informative - By Regina Stefanishyn ILION - The Jayvee football team made up for the varsity's loss to Frankfort by beating Frankfort on Monday. The "Quill," Ilion High's newspaper, will put out its third edition this coming week. The co-editors, Linda Vernooy and Margaret McClave; the adviser, Mrs. Vivian Wright, and the whole staff should be congratulated for the fine work they are doing. Seniors will be calling at the homes of many people in Ilion next week. The annual Christmas card sale is once again under way. This is one of the chief money making projects sponsored by the class. Attention everyone! Date of the homecoming weekend has been changed from the Mohawk game Nov. 4 to the Herkimer game on Nov. 11. Many activities have been scheduled for this big weekend. Pep Rally Set On Friday afternoon, Nov, 19, a pep rally will be held by the cheerleaders where the king and queen of homecoming will be crowned. That Friday night there will be a bonfire. During half-time at the Ilion-Herkimer game, special ceremonies will honor the new king and queen. On Saturday night, Nov. 11, a dance will be sponsored by the Girls Athletic Association where a king of Jayvee and varsity football will be crowned. At this dance recognition is given to all football players and cheerleaders. Tonight a record dance is sponsored by the varsity cheerleaders in the Girls Gym. Admission is 25 cents. come and find out where the "Great Pumpkin" is.
