Annual Senior Awards Are Presented ILION - Awards were presented outstanding students, retiring teachers and others of Ilion High School at the annual senior assembly Monday. Speaker was Leo Sammon, principal, introduced by Miss Fay Edwards, senior class president. Awards went to; Fay Edwards, Thomas Deyle, leadership; Vicki Rice, Priscilla Burnham award; Marie Cirillo, outstanding senior girl; Diane Buriak, senior service; James Willey, Murray Basketball; William Day, track; Patricia Hoffman. Future Teachers Association; Linda Braybrook, Frank Lyons Friendship. Joseph Sorge, athletic director, presented these awards: Leo Golicki award, Thomas Deyle; Rocky Cramer award, Deyle; varsity club, Robert Smith; Lever cup, Wesley Lints; Lewis wrestling trophy, Lints. Gisela Schroder, German exchange student, was introduced by William Teeter, senior adviser. Gifts were presented retiring teachers by Joseph Nicolette: Mrs. Irva Hildebrandt, Mrs. William Marston, Miss Luella Schwarz, Miss Genevieve Duby. The four, retiring June 23, have taught a total of 133 years in Ilion schools. Two numbers were sung by the Orpheus Choir, directed by Neil Schleicher.
