First thing Monday morning, grades 9 through 11 nominated 11 candidates for the four main offices of Student Council. Candidates on the Brown party are president, Bill Leach, Pat Cirillo and Joan Withington; vice-president, Pat Santmire, Glen Smith and Linda Pugh; secretary, Steve Hoffman, Sue Newman, Kirk White; treasurer, Mary Carney, Jim Strife, Jean Maury.

Those running on the Gold ticket are, president, Mike Braun, Theresa DeForrest and Vic Norman; vice-president, Leigh Dibble, Dave Murphy and Connie Raux; secretary, Chris Monohan, John Menard and Bill Getman; treasurer, Mary Ann Kroll, Sharon Wagner and Cindy Coyle.

Tuesday night the Honors Dinner was held to honor seniors who received Regent's scholarships, the top ten of the class, and those who were inducted into Senior National Honor Society. The Board of Education and parents of the seniors also at tended the dinner. The guest speaker was Winton Toiles, dean of Hamilton College.

Thursday those girls interested in trying out for cheerleading signed up. Tryouts will be held next Wednesday.

The casts have been chosen for two one-act plays to be presented by the Senior class in May. The plays will be held in the newly completed auditorium.

Computer Dance cards were collected and sent to Boston to be processed and returned in time for the dance. The dance will be held on May 7 from 8 to 12.

The baseball season began with an opening game against Little Palls on Thursday. On Friday, the team played Notre Dame and today they met Proctor. The sports page gives a full account of these games.
