Ilion High Informative - By Nancye Robertson School Spirit High For Bombers; Students Want Oneonta To Lose Another week of school has passed and another started. With the start of this week there is much spirit for the football team. We hope to beat Herkimer Saturday at Herkimer and we hope that Oneonta beats Norwich. Everyone at school; students, faculty, custodians, administration, everyone wishes the team the best of luck. Friday there was a pep rally during school and Friday night a bonfire to help support great team. The Junior High now have a school newspaper of their own called the INK WELL. The editors are Diane Sarmie and Dean Rathburn. The advisors are Miss Joyce Barry and Mr. James Gregory. Thursday during activity period, Orpheus, Phoenix, Belles and the Fearsome 5 gave a musical program which was indeed a very good one. In the girls intramural basketball has started. Thursday there was a meeting and teams and captains were submitted. The senior class has been selling Christmas cards to raise money for caps and gowns. Pat Cirillo is the general chairman and Mary Carney is co-chairman. The only thing left to say is we of Ilion Central High School have a football team that we certainly can be proud of and a wonderful coach, Mr. Werner Kleemann, to thank for his "Comeback Club." Congratulations for a fine season to all of you.
