Ilion High Informative - By Nancye Robertson Friday Busy Day For Sports At Ilion Central High School Friday was a very busy day as far as sports were concerned. There was a basketball game at Frankfort and at home a wrestling match and a gymnastics meet. This week's "Senior of the Week" was Joyce Monteau. Congratulations Joyce. The leading characters of "Carousel" are Mary Carney and Jack Miller. They will be under the direction of Mrs. Jasmine Poplaski. Varsity Club President Dave Steele and members of the club have purchased new Varsity Club jackets. They are royal blue and on the left side of the is the Ilion High School insignia in white. The National Junior Honor Society is having a dance on Feb. 11 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Boys Gym. The Boss 5 will provide music. Report cards will be coming out soon. Wednesday and Thursday, students had school off for Regents exams. Ilion High's debate team defeated New Hartford on Jan. 6. Sandra Werthman and Susana Francisco debated the negative and Fran Plano and Steve Reul debated the affirmative. The debaters are advised by Mr. Constantine Panarites and assistant William Miles.
