Ilion High Honor Students Named

ILION - Valedictorian of the Ilion High School senior class is Miss Joyce Monteau, daughter of Maurice Monteau, 17 N. Fifth Ave., and the late Mrs. Monteau. Salutatorian is James Strife, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Strife, 351 Otsego St.

Announcement of the top 10 seniors in the class was made yesterday by George E. Anderson, superintendent of schools.

A Regents scholarship Winner, Miss Monteau leads the class with an average of 95.5 per cent. Strife, who recently won a $1,400 scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, is second with 93.4.

Other leaders: Third, Joan Withington, 92.6; fourth, Patricia Cirillo, 91; fifth, Barbara Keddell, 90.6.
