3 West Hill Students Win Top Assembly Honors

Ilion - The Charles Davis Memorial Trophies were awarded yesterday to Beth Campbell, James Colburn and William Momberger during a special assembly in the West Hill School.

The memorial trophies were purchased by members of the Davis family in 1959 and are awarded each year to a boy and girl of the graduating sixth grade. This is the first year there were co-winners for honor.

Qualifications for the award were: Dependability, perseverance, loyalty, good naturedness, dedication to school duties.

The awards were presented by Charles Davis Jr., in behalf of the family.

Police Chief Maurice Goldin presented certificates to members of the Safety Patrol. Special awards for outstanding service were awarded to Ann Doolen, Dale Sheffield, Gail Williams, Sandra Paragi, James Colblurn, Jack Miller, Roger Weeden, Richard Crocker.

Other Safety Patrol members are: Peter Chapin, Donald Albin, Francis Enjem, Thomas Clark, Larry Walker, John Wright, William Momberger, James Harrer, Lee Wlech, Russell James, Lyon Reynolds, Wayne Kencharek, Robert List, John Mroz, Raymond DeRocco, Mark Lonis.

Also Carl Wollever, Austin Greene, Charles Putney, Robert Momberger, Gale Mickle, Kathey Maurice, Peggy Getman, Linda Peters, Veronica Peak, Joyce Hanson, Joyce Monteau, Lynch Layaw, Jean Goldin, Donna Doleman, Sharon Bedworth, Ann Acquaviva, Susan Klippel, Linda Harter.

Cora Fischer, Nancy Collea, Ellen Frosch, Beth Campbell, Betsy Feuerstein, Barbara Dawson, Lois Davis, Janice Parker, Greta Billington, Judy Ellis, Linda Wright, Frances Hosel, Christine Peterson, Carol Korba, Linda Deller, Donna Jennison, Michele Bacooa, Sandra Dalby.

Bart Shelley, principal awarded special certificates and pins for exhibiting satisfactory qualifications as 16 mm motion picture audio visualist to Ann Acquaviva, Jack Miller, Robert List, Wayne Kencharek, Nancy Colllea, Roger Weeden. Peggy Getman recited a special pin for general help and assistance with the special school programs.

Miss Joan Babbons led a community song.
