Senior Awards Given At Ilion

Senior Awards Given At Ilion

ILION - Awards were presented to several Ilion High School seniors yesterday afternoon during the final assembly program of the year at the high school auditorium.

The awards included trophies, plaques, and pins. The winners were:

Priscilla Burnham award, Constance J. Maury;
outstanding senior girl, Miss Maury;
senior service award, Miss Maury and Barbara Horwald.

Rocky Cramer award, Donald Albin;
varsity club, Michael Hoffman;
Lever Cup, Robert Turley;
Lewis wrestling trophy, Turley;
Allston track award, David Chesebrough.

Knights of Columbus athletic award, Peter Garlock;
Moose Club baseball award, Donald Albin;
Future Teachers of America pin, Barbara Horwald;
homemaking Betty Crocker award, Carol Korba;
homemaking Proctor & Gamble award, Sherry Streeter;
Frank Lyons friendship award, Edna Sullivan;
Richard N. Adams plaque, James Colburn;
Francis Murray basketball award, Donald Albin.

Presentation of the Mirror yearbook was made to Margaret Getman and the Quill newspaper to Joyce Monteau; Marijke Guetskens, foreign student, received gifts from the sophomore, junior and senior classes and the student council.

Schools Supt. George E. Anderson and principal Leo Sammon Jr., spoke during the program.
