photo caption Ilion Junior Honor Society Inducts Ilion - Twenty - seven Ilion Central High School pupils were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during ceremonies yesterday afternoon in the auditorium. Inductees were: Grade 10, Kristen Edwards, Gary Miller and Philip Snedeker. Grade 9, Judith Abeline, Marcia Collins, Betty Ann Davis, Iva Gage, Gregory Kubala, John Leniek, Mary Manley, Carl Marhaver, Mary Ellen Monohan, Stuart Strife and Kathleen Vivlamore. Grade 8, Michael Casciere, Karen Cranney, Karen Doty, James Irving, Laurel Long, Richard Morris and Charles Venditte. Grade 7, Kathleen Bohr, Mary Daily, David Doty, Susan Monohan, Edward Rooke and Georgia Sternberg. Miss Mary Panarites, Ilion attorney and former member of the NJHS, gave the main address. Other guests included, George Anderson, superintendent of school; Leo J. Sammon, Jr., high school principal; Charles Lang, vice principal; John Menard and Constance Raux, both former Society presidents. Stephen Applegate is president of the local chapter. Invitations have been extended to both inductees and their parents to attend a reception at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at which time the society’s activities will be outline
