Ilion Native to Become A Lawyer in February ILION - Robert W. Applegate, a native of Ilion now associated with a West Winfield law firm, will be admitted to the practice of law in early February. Applegate, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur H Applegate, is with the firm of Cosentino and Snyder and now lives there. He is a 1971 graduate of Ilion High School and a 1975 graduate of Hamilton College. After graduation he worked as a substitute teacher in the Ilion school system and was also employed by Aylesbury Inn, Clinton. He earned his juris doctor degree last June from Albany Law School and in November, was notified that he had passed the New York State Bar examination given in July. During 1978 he was a summer intern in the Herkimer County District Attorney's Office and last state legislative session he worked as a junior research counsel for Assembly Minority Leader, James Emery.
