The Portion of East Main Street in Ilion - Sold

THE PORTION OF EAST MAIN STREET IN ILION which runs between the Remington Arms and Remington Typewriter buildings, was closed permanently to pedestrian and vehicle traffic this week. Purchase of the section of Main Street was finalized Wednesday morning when the company presented the village with a check for $13,000. Arms workmen will be allowed to use the street during working hours.
