Jr. Honor Society Awards Certificates ILION - The National Junior Honor Society at Ilion High School has honored 148 students of the junior and senior high school for their academic achievement for the past year, as part of the activities during American Education Week. The students received certificates stating that they had been on the honor roll for all four marking periods of the school year 1970-71. The National Junior Honor Society members compile the honor roll, issue honor roll cards each marking period, promote an academic competition between homerooms, and conduct this annual awards ceremony to further interest and achievement in scholarship throughout the school. Charles Lang, vice-principal, who assisted in the certificates, also noted the fine accomplishments of those students who had maintained "high" honor roll status by keeping an average of above 90 per cent for the entire year. These students were: Mary Beth Boucher, Howard Crofoot, Cheryl Darling, Marion Rooks, Richard Bohr, Sandra Collins, Cynthia Conkling, Susan Rasbach, David Trautlein, Cynthia Davidson, Kathleen Morris, Patricia Albin, Georgia Sternberg, Deborah Trombley, Darleen Doolen, Susan Garnsey, Sarah Getman, James Irving, Christopher Jones. Deborah Kubala, Lawrence Manion, Barbara McGrade and Guy Snedeker. Doolen, Getman, Irving, and Snedeker have been on the "high" honor roll for five consecutive years.
