Homecoming King and Queen
From the 1989 Mirror
Homecoming '88 was one of the most exciting weeks of the year. It started on Monday with "Hat Day", Tuesday was "Sunglasses Day", Wednesday was "Sweats Day", and Thursday was "Lollipop Day". On Friday people showed their school spirit by dressing in gold and brown. All the senior girls were given corsages. The pep rally was filled with excitement.

It started out with the cheerleaders and the boy cheerleaders (Bill Durkin, John Coroniti, Steve Matthews, Tom Streeter, Scott Tinkle, and John Cook) doing their "Hello" cheer. We chose Karen Richards as our Queen and John Cook as King. The Sophomores took first place in the poster contest. The Seniors were second, and the Juniors were third. During the week, the cheerleaders introduced a new contest --"Mr. Irresistible". Chic Scaparo won the title and Mike Urtz was the runner up. The next morning was our annual parade. Floats displayed the theme of "Weather". The Juniors took first place, the Seniors took second, and the Freshmen took third.

The Golden Bombers defeated Clinton for a Homecoming victory, with a final score of 8-6. Saturday night there was a dance at the school with music by our own disc jockey, Dan Oliver.
