Top Scholars of the IHS Class of 2007 ....

Keith Willner is the 2007 valedictorian. Willner has been accepted at Hamilton College where he plans to major in Bio-Chemistry.

Mary Morse is the salutatorian for the class of 2007. Morse has been accepted at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where she plans to major in Molecular Biology.

The 33rd annual honors dinner was held to honor senior members of the IHS Class of 2007. These students were honored for earning outstanding scholastic records and achievements during their high school careers. Each of these students attained a final average of 90 percent or better. Class of 2007 - 10th Year Reunion News....

Segan Morse sent information about the 10th year reunion for the Class of 2007.It will be held on September 23rd 2017 at Knights of Columbus in Ilion from 6 pm - 10 pm. 2007 Class Doctor.....

Ilion Class of 2007 - Keith Wilner MD

Keith Willner, graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook, College of Medicine in 2015. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh, PA. He is Board Certified in Emergency medicine. Keith and his wife, Dr. Mary Gallo, welcomed their first child in November 2019. They are both emergency medicine physicians at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Keith previously served as an EMS physician for the city of Pittsburgh and a STAT Medevac air transport flight physician. He was an assistant medical director for Fayette County emergency medical services. (July 18, 2020)

Congratulations Bryan Fischer - New Attorney.....

Congratulations to Bryan Fischer, a new attorney! Byran is the son of Laurie (Devins) Fischer IHS 1976 and Dave Fischer IHS 1974. Bryan graduated cum laude from Syracuse University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Policy Studies and Political Science. Bryan earned his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Miami School of Law. Bryan recently passed the Florida Bar Exam. He started as an Associate Attorney with Buckland & Dang, P.A. in Florida. (October 14, 2015 - modified January 11, 2023)

Bryan Thomas Fischer IHS 2007

Bryan Thomas Fischer IHS 2007, age 32, of Ft. Lauderdale, formerly of Ilion, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Bryan was born on February 10, 1989, in Ilion, the son of David and Laurie (Devins) Fischer. He graduated from Ilion High School with honors, from Syracuse University Cum Laude, earned his JD from the University of Miami Law School and worked as an Attorney in Ft. Lauderdale. Bryan was a member of the Florida Southern District Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court, and the Southern District for Florida. He also was a member Psi Upsilon Chapter at Syracuse University. He was awarded the Leaver Cup from IHS as well many scholastic awards and scholarships. He was an avid sports fan especially soccer, volleyball, baseball, and "Cuse" basketball. Bryan is survived by his parents, Laurie and David "Chubs" Fischer of Ilion and his brother, Jon of Ilion; his aunts and uncles, Patty and Jim Miller of Newport, Phil and Sheri Devins of Wisconsin, Don and Tammy Devins of Middleville, Ed and Shelly Devins of Texas, Corky and Larry Bull of New Hartford and Linda and Stan Bilinski of Salisbury. His special friends, Dennis Basler, Matt and Adam Day, Kyle Hawkins, Scott Kamp, Brian Morton, Dean Viti . . . and many more special friends (you all know who you are). His extended Ilion family, his Cuse girls and his South Florida family; his Godchildren, Hayden and Cannon Basler as well as several special cousins, great aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his grandparents, a special cousin Erick C. Miller and several aunts and uncles. A memorial mass for Bryan will be celebrated on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Annunciation Church, 10 West St., Ilion, NY with Fr. Paul Catena, officiating. He will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton, NY. There are no calling hours. Friends and family are asked to please consider memorial donations to the CVA Bryan T. Fischer Memorial Scholarship, envelopes will be available at the Church. All attending are asked to please wear orange to the services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mama "Sue" Morton, her husband Greg, and Uncle Mike and Tom for all their love, care and support for Bryan during his years in Florida. Miss Nicole M. Dukerich IHS 2007, age 22, of Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 19, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born on September 25, 1989 in New Hartford, a daughter of Gary Dukerich and Karen M. Anguish. Educated locally she attended Remington Elementary School and was a graduate of Ilion High School in 2007. She was a member of the New York State Champion Small School Cheerleading Team in her senior year. Nicole was employed as a Residence Counselor by the Sitrin Health Care Facility in the Mill St. IRA Household in New York Mills. She has been in that field for four years working for various organizations. She had a passion for modeling and had just completed a fashion shoot last week. She entered many beauty pageants since the age of 13 years old, and at the age of 17 she won the Teen Miss Finger lakes contest. Nicole was also very involved locally in Autism Awareness. She had many diverse interests and she and her fiancée loved to spend time mud bogging with four-wheelers and just recently they have enjoyed target practice together at a local range. Nicole is survived by her precious son, Antonio, her beloved fiancé, Christopher Soullas; her loving father, Gary Dukerich, her loving mother, Karen Anguish and Fran Bowman; one sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Rodney Swavely of PA; one brother, Kenneth Dukerich of Binghamton; her maternal grandmother, Angela Gambino; maternal grandfather, Andy and Rosemary Anguish; uncle and aunt, David and Denise Anguzza; aunt Lori Piacentino; and several great aunts and great uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Daphne and William Dukerich; her maternal great-grandparents, Beatrice and Andy Gambino; and her uncle Russ Gambino. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
