Fund Raiser for Sean O'Brien and family.....
During Thanksgiving of 2012, Sean O'Brien, a 21 year old college student, was diagnosed with a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma (Brain Tumor). Sean underwent Brain Surgery during this time to place a shunt in order to relieve fluid that was accumulating and causing intermittent blindness. Due to the tumor's size and location Sean's doctor and Oncologist, in Boston, decided it would be better to watch the tumor in hopes that it would not continue to grow. Unfortunately at Sean's last MRI in May, 2014 it was determined that the tumor was in fact continuing to grow, which is causing Sean increasing health problems and must be removed!! Sean and his family have to fly to Houston Texas to MD Anderson Cancer Center in order for this tumor to be removed. It is uncertain how long Sean will need to stay in Texas for recovery. Sean's mother will be staying with him in Texas throughout his recovery process. She will be out of work from September 2014 until she is able to bring Sean home safely and he can god willing be back on the the road to recovery. Any financial assistance and support would be greatly appreciated and will help with traveling, lodging and loss of income for the family during this difficult time. It is hard enough for any family to have to deal with such a devastating diagnosis, but the finances will unfortunately continue to grow and anything that can be donated will help!! (August 22, 2014)
