The Class of 1966 raised funds to create a special memorial for classmate and Class Valedictorian Dr. James Patrei. The trophies and recipient plaque was presented to the school during the 2002 Ilion Alumni-All Classes/Sesquicentennial Mega-Reunion. Presenting the plaque, during the football game half time ceremony, were Kathleen Carney Donahue, Dave Smithson and Lou Patrei. Each year, the trophies are presented to the honorees and their names are added to the plaque which contains all the known names of past Valedictorians and Salutatorians. The Class of 2013 recipients are Emily LaLonde and Alexander Klosner. (April 30, 2013)

Tiffany Amber Williams IHS 2013, age 22, joined the Angels in Heaven on August 2, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY with her loving family at her side. She was born on August 15, 1995, in Cooperstown, NY, a daughter of Edward and Barbara (Ellis) Williams. She graduated from Ilion High School and went on to attend Herkimer County Community College. Tiffany studied culinary at BOCES and loved to cook and watch the cooking channel. She enjoyed being outdoors, walking, 'jeeps on beaches', automobiles, and rock music. Most of all, Tiffany loved being with her sisters. She would watch the science channel with her sisters and take them to the park which was always an awesome time! She is survived by all those who she loved so much, her parents, Ed and Barb; her twin sister, Cynthia and her significant other, MJ Wyant; sisters, Nicole & Isabella; her Niece, Kylie; Grandparents, Eleanor Williams and Janet Travis; Aunts, Leann Cotton, Brenda Boyer and Penny Malone; Uncles, Roger Williams, Chuck Williams and Matt Cotton; Boyfriend, Quinn Kaye; her very special doggie, Dakota; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her Grandpa, Charles Williams; and Uncle, Jim Williams. Funeral services are Tuesday August 7, 2018 at 6 PM at Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road Ilion, NY with Rev. Sue Holland, officiating. Calling hours are two hours prior to the service, 4-6 PM. Funeral Directors Harry & Kevin Enea and Martin Ciaccia (315) 894-8000, have been entrusted with all arrangements.
