Albert J. Meehan IHS 1930
Albert Meehan was born September 1, 1912, in Ilion, son of Albert J. and Anna (McDonough) Meehan. He graduated from Ilion High School in 1930 and was graduated from the Albany School of Pharmacy, Union University in Albany in 1934. In 1941 he joined the firm of Church & Scott drug store in Cooperstown. He served three years and was thirty months overseas with the 110th Station Hospital in England, France and Belgium. Albert married Julia Welch on March 4, 1946. Following a brief wedding trip, the couple resided in Cooperstown, where he is continuing his association with the Church & Scott pharmacy.
Albert Meehan bought out the interest of Ernest M. Clapsaddle in the Church & Scott drug store, in Cooperstown, in July 1957. Mr. Clapsaddle has been a partner in the firm for 61 years. Albert Meehan served as president of the corporation from 1955 until 1964.

Albert J. Meehan, 56, of 21 Pine Blvd., Cooperstown, an Ilion native, died yesterday in his home. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and Albany College of Pharmacy. He married Julia Welch in 1946. Mr. Meehan was employed as a pharmacist in drug stores ir Richfield Springs, Ilion and Cooperstown. He had been a Cooperstown resident since 1941 and was president of Church A Scott Drug Store from 1955 to 1964. He was a World War II veteran, a member of St. Mary's Church, the K of C, Cooperstown posts, American Legion and VFW; charter member of Cooperstown Lions Club, former director of Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce, past president Tri - Valley Pharmaceutical Society, member of State Pharmaceutical Society, director of First National Bank of Cooperstown and a member of the Albany College of Pharmacy board of trustees.
Besides his widow, he leaves a sister, Mrs. James Keenan, Elmira. The funeral will be at 9:39 a.m. Monday from St. Mary's Church. Burial will be next spring ir St. Mary's Cemetery, Index. Calling hours at the Ingall's FuneralHome. Cooperstown are after 1 p.m. today, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Rosary will be recited at 8 tomorrow night.

Robert F. Meehan - IHS 1933
Robert Meehan was born on April 27, 1916, in Ilion, a son of Albert and Anna (McDonough) Meehan. He graduated from Ilion High School in 1933 and was the class president. He attended the Albany College of Pharmacy and graduated in 1939. He married the former Jean Gorman, Albany. During World War II, he was a commissioned Pharmacist. He entered the service January 1, 1943 and served with the Air Corps in Salt Lake City, Miami Beach and Greensboro, NC., before entering officers candidate school. Both he and his brother, Cpl. Albert Meehan, were with the Medical Corps in France.
Robert Meehan died at the young age of 32, in his home, on October 25, 1948. At the time, he was employed as a pharmacist in Cherry Valley. Below is the October 27, 1948 obituary, for Robert Meehan. The article appeared in The Herkimer Evening Telegram.
Rites Set Tomorrow for Robert Meehan
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning in Albany for Robert Meehan, 32, Cherry Valley, pharmacist and former resident of Ilion, who died Monday in his home.
He was born on April 27, 1916, in Ilion, a son of Albert and Anna McDonough Meehan. He married Miss Jean Gorman in Albany seven years ago. He graduated from Ilion High School and Albany College of Pharmacy and served three years as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Force Medical Corps.
Besides his wife and parents he leaves two sons, Michael and Robert; one sister, Mrs. James Keenan, Elmira and a brother, Albert, Cooperstown.
