Leslie Richard D. Wilson - IHS 1954 - Pharmacist

Leslie Richard Wilson was born in Uniontown, PA on February 18, 1937. 'Dick' was the son of the late Leslie T. and Helen Skelton Wilson. He graduated from Ilion High School in 1954. He graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy in 1958. He worked and lived in the Watertown, NY area for 20 years. He was assistant manager of Kinney Drugs Washington Street Plaza Store in 1974. He moved to Charlotte, NC in 1982. Dick was employed as a pharmacist by BiLo at the Dilworth/Park Rd store. He retired in 2001.

Mr. Wilson, 69, of Charlotte, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Carolinas Medical Center, University. Born in Uniontown, PA on February 18, 1937, Dick was the son of the late Leslie T. and Helen Skelton Wilson. He graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy and had worked and lived in the Watertown, NY area for 20 years before moving to Charlotte in 1982. Prior to his retirement 5 years ago, Dick was employed as a pharmacist by BiLo at the Dilworth/Park Rd store. Mr. Wilson was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Empty-Nesters of Highland Creek. Survivors include his wife, Dawn; children, Leigh Elovich and husband, Steve, of Tampa, FL, Lori Hiatt and husband, Mark, of Mooresville, and Brad Wilson and wife Sandra Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren Trevor, Taylor, Lindsey and Jake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00 PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd. with Reverend Edward Sheridan, celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:00 PM and in the fellowship hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dixon Heart Unit c/o Carolinas Healthcare Foundation, 1618 Scott Ave., Charlotte, NC, 28203. Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements. Published in Charlotte Observer from Nov. 29 to Nov. 30, 2006. .
