Ilion Alumni Plan Double Anniversary

Classes of '87 and '12 to Be Honored at Annual Banquet

Observance of a double anniversary will mark the annual banquet of Ilion High School alumni to be held at the high school the night of June 13.

The group will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Class of 1887 and also 25th anniversary of the Class of 1912 , according to plans being outlined by officers of the association.

Members of the Class of '87 now known to be living in Ilion are Miss Adela Van Gumstar and Alice Grimes White. Others included Mayor Harry Jennings, Mohawk; Laura A. Brown, Lizzie Tanner Couch, Margaret Tourbert DuRoss, William Giblin, Susie Jewell, Anna F. Joeressen, Cora Capron Parsons, Alfred Brooks Steele, Kate Unit Stretch, Olive Devendorf, Robert Dean Winegar and Rollo S. Zimmerman.

In honor of their 50th anniversary graduation day, the Class of 1912 will stage a banquet, dance and entertainment. As many of the former superintendents, teachers and graduates as possible will attend.

Hostesses and hosts from the Class of 1912 who will have charge of decorations and program include; Leroy Williams, Helen Walrath Pace, Marguerite Lewis Hall, Fannie Haider Conover, Ruth Ferguson, Francis Frankisch, Anna Pilson, Marie K. Coughlin, Lylo Bushnell, Ethel Bach Bowman, Volney Becker, Ellen Fay.

Officers of the alumni sponsoring the event are: President. Harold Fear; vice-presidents, Jeanne Fuller, Leon Jarvis, Gladys Dashner and Janice Eckler. Robert Smith is secretary and treasurer.
