Editor's Note

Ilion High School's 1951 graduating, class stopped a moment this busy spring to dedicate their yearbook, "The Mirror" to two beloved friends no longer with them - Guy Prindle, Ilion's principal until his untimely death last fall, and Frankie Lyons, a classmate, until he, was called away.

DEDICATION

The Class of 1951 Dedicate their annual in memory of:

The Ilion Sentinel The Mirror Dedication 1951

John Guy Prindle
We miss his fervent interest in all our projects; his warm and mischievous smile; his vigorous stride in the halls; and most of all --- our friend Mr. Prindle.

The Ilion Sentinel The Mirror Dedication 195

and Frank Lyons
We miss his friendliness to everyone; his desire to help out every where; and most of all --- the boy we knew as "Poncho."

The Ilion Sentinel The Mirror Dedication 1951

The first time in the history of the village, so far as we know, The Sentinel is today publishing the photographs of the entire 1951 graduating Class at Ilion High School. The photos, taken from the 1951 yearbook, "The Mirror" appear on Page 3 of today's paper. Among the members of the class who will not be present because they are serving their country are the soldiers and sailors shown below. Two others, Brown and Carl Pfeifer, are in service but were not photographed for the yearbook.
