November 1939 - Ilion Football Field Flooded From Hydrant - The Evening Telegram New Years Eve - Morgan Street School Bell - Gang of rowdy youths wake up the village. The Utica Herald Dispatch January 1, 1908 (pdf newspaper story from fultonhistory.com "The reparture of the old year and the ushering in of the new year was not marked by any special demonstration, excepting the ringing of bells. The only damage reported to the police was that a gang of rowdies, ranging from 17 to 20 years of age, broke into the Morgan Street School at midnight and rang the school bell loud and long. The officers have been looking for the gang to-day. The door at the school house was wrecked."
