Ilion Community Park renamed David P. Whalen Community Park

David Peter Whalen - In memory of David P. Whalen, Ilion Class of 1974, plans are currently underway for a memorial, renovations, and additions at the Community Park Fields in Ilion. Dave was a tireless worker for the community of Ilion, the Ilion School District and all the Ilion Jr-Sr High School Softball Teams and a friend to everyone he met. Any individual, business, or organization wishing to donate supplies, services, or money to this memorial fund can call 894-3116 or make checks payable to the David P. Whalen Memorial Fund c/o JoAnn Duga 68 Benedict Ave.,Ilion,NY 13357. We would like to also invite everyone to the dedication on Sat. Nov. 24th at 2pm at the David P. Whalen Community Park and the fund-raising dance at the Ilion Elks from 8-12. We hold meetings at the Ilion Municipal Bld. at 6:30pm. The next meeting is Wednesday Nov 7. Please join us.
