IG: @theivorydentalco
Age: 36
City: East Amherst, New York
Name of Practice: The Ivory Dental Co.
Education: DDS, State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine
Why She Was Nominated: Founder of The Ivory Dental Co., Dr. Sweeney is also a clinical faculty and accredited member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics who travels around the country teaching health care professionals the ins and outs of Botox, dermal fillers, TMJ and orofacial pain treatment protocols. (She's also a Buffalo Bills fan and an expert in houseplant cultivation - she has more than 100 of them.)
Tool She Can't Live Without: "iTero 5D with NIRI technology. Having the capability to diagnose cavities through infrared technology before they even show up on X-ray has been career changing. I'm able to perform more-conservative dentistry, and patients are thrilled that their treatment doesn’t take as long."
Most Memorable Patient: "My first Hybridge [implant] patient. He was a recently retired gentleman who was traveling to all 50 state capitals with his wife and just wanted to be able to enjoy a steak on his trips. She surprised him by putting off a kitchen renovation so he could afford to fix his teeth first."
